Gotta wonder why people think removing air quality restrictions and measures are a good thing. Maybe they hate children, including their own? Because you can’t really remove kids from the environment.
In a randomized control trial, from Mongolia in conjunction with researchers from the US, of 540 pregnant women, investigators found that the women who were exposed less to air pollution led to better intelligent testing in their children.
For the study, women who were recruited were less than 18 weeks pregnant, nonsmokers, and had not used air filtering devices in their homes. They were randomly assigned to either receiving HEPA filter air cleaners through their pregnancies or they did not receive any air cleaners. The air cleaners were removed at the end of the pregnancies.
At four years of age, researchers measured their bornt children’s intelligent quotient and found that on average, children born to mothers who received air purifiers scored 2.8 points higher compared to the group that did not use the air purifiers.
“These results, combined with evidence from previous studies, strongly implicate air pollution as a threat to brain development,” stated author, Ryan Allen. “Air pollution is everywhere, and it is preventing children from reaching their full potential. Air cleaners may provide some protection, but ultimately the only way to protect all children is to reduce emissions.”
Sadly, our lifestyle and political corruption has sold our children short.
