Nothing like begging for colon cancer than an unhealthy diet such as drinking Pepsi and Coca-Cola.

Conducted by researchers from Harvard’s TH Chan School of Public Health, and published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, they found that sugary beverages increased risk of dying from colon cancer, the third most common cancer in men and women in the United States.

Across two prospective cohort studies in the United States of over 120,000 participants, the investigators cross-examined the data about colorectal cancer incidence and death to how much sugary beverages the participants drank, including beverages sweetened with fructose. They found a positive association between the consumption of sugary beverages to the increased incidence of proximal colon cancer and from death of.

However, it’s not too late to stop right now as the correlation was mostly associated with sugary beverage intake within the past 10 years.

So stop right now. Stop drinking unhealthy, high-fructose corn syrup laced beverages. It is also important to note that while the authors looked a fructose consumption, fruit consumption is not associated with increased cancer risk, and is generally linked to lowering cancer risks.
