Chill out, it’s good for your hearth and helps prevent type 2 diabetes, the most common form of diabetes in America. Findings published Nature Cardiovascular Research found that lower frequency of depressive episodes is associated with better heart health profile.

Using data from the UK Biobank, the authors studied the genomes of 328,152 subjects to create a polygenic risk score as a tool to predict heart disease risk, they found that being by being sad less often led to several benefits of the heart including 34% decreased risk of coronary artery disease, 33% decreased risk of type 2 diabetes, and a 20% decreased risk of developing arrhythmia atrial fibrillation independent to genetics and lifestyle risk factors.

In conclusion, stop being sad and emotionally reactive to everything around you. Go out and find healthy ways to deal with problems.
