Yeah, another scientific evidence that proves exercise is beneficial for the brain. While a lot of prior studies look at brain structure, a study published in Alzheimer’s & Dementia, an Alzheimer’s Association’s journal, showed that exercise improves the physical activity benefits the synaptic proteins involved in neuron connections.

The study utilized data from Chicago’s Rush University’s Memory and Aging Project. Researchers looked at over 400 post mortem evaluation of decedents’ brain tissues who had annual actigraphy monitoring. Actigraphy is a non-invasive method of monitoring physical and resting activity in people. The publishers of the study found that those who had higher pre-synaptic protein levels, thus maintaining the integrity of neuron-to-neuron communication.

Disease models of the brain have shown that poor functioning of the synaptic terminals has been implicated in disease states and therapeutic targeting of this area has beneficial outcomes.

So stop being sedentary on your lazy manly-less ass, and start improving you physical activity by doing house chores and investing in regular regimented exercise.
