While many men these days feel anxiety, unfortunately the treatment commonly involve dangerous medications for this issue that is not truly ever treatable by medications. In fact, many lifestyle habits and practices are simply just as effective as without the medications. One such lifestyle practice is exercise, which has been undoubtedly shown to improve anxiety.
Published in Journal of Affective Disorders, researchers were able to demonstrate that a 12-week program of moderate and strenuous exercise is effective in decrease the feeling of anxiety from high to low.
The study examined 286 patients with anxiety syndrome from a primary care service out of Sweden. Half to the patients have identified anxiety disorder for at least 10 years, thus have chronic “anxiety”. The results were found to be dose-related in that the more strenuous the exercise was, the more the anxiety improved at the end of the 12 weeks.
Exercises included 60 minutes of training of both cardio and strength training, including: warmups, stations, and cooldown/stretching.
So instead of complaining about your anxiety and taking drugs for it, find some way to get about 45 to 60 minutes of moderate to strenuous exercise a day.
